iOS 12 issue

After downloading the update on my iPhone along with my wife, our messages within the family go to wrong contacts etc. set up separate Apple ID’s but still have the same issue. Support page shows thousands complaining about it. Anyone here have the issue and maybe a fix or workaround?

This is still happening with just your number and/or email selected under "send & receive" in the iMessage settings?
