That seems a bit ridiculous for a CM grad. I'm in LSU's program and everyone I know that graduated last week had jobs already lined up

I graduate in August, how did they get their stuff lined up?

I have to make a decision by Friday if I'm taking a non-CM position that starts in July, out of state.

You have to go to construction interview day. That's the easiest way to network. Plus if you have made any friends in the program that have graduated I would hit them up immediately to see if their company is hiring/if they'd be willing to send your resume to their recruiter.

I have an internship this summer that I landed just from one of my friends sending my email to his superior. He knew they were losing an intern so before they even started looking he sent my resumè to them.

It sounds stupid but CM is all about who you know and how much experience you have. I know some real idiots that have gotten bad arse jobs straight out of school just because they knew someone's dad.

I had an internship with Pontchartrain Partners for 2 summers before I graduated. Pay was decent. So I got some experience, but my job search right now isn't going well for me. RCI (Rotolo Consultants Inc) said they're likely to give me an offer at their company for about $47,000-48,000 with estimating. So if both companies happen to offer me something, I am going to have to decide what to do, but for now I have to wait and see.

Ok so you have two years experience in heavy civil work. Have you tried talking to any of the deep foundation companies around the area? If you have any experience driving piles, about Group and Cajun have deep foundation companies that pay pretty well. Cajun the more successful of the two.

45k for Rotolos doesn't seem bad, but I don't know what your ceiling of your pay scale would look like working in Landscape Design.

I have an offer starting at 55, but again, not in CM. I have a Business degree already and job prospects were bad, so I went back to convert to CM, and now I'm not sure if I should wait to finish before changing jobs to something in CM or just nix the idea and run with the Analyst position.

Curious if you got the job. I am looking for independent sales reps for my flooring line. Let me know if you are interested.
