Here is your Lafourche connection:
One of the companies they contracted with has its “headquarters” in Larose.
Lee Zurik went there and there was no office just a dance studio.
I am to the point I believe the whole GC thing is a complete scam. Site doesn't look prepared or look like any work was done.

Certain, but not all, parts of New Orleans are definately pay to play. I heard a first hand account of a guy in Metairie that wanted to open up a car wash on Chef Mentuer Hwy. He invested $ 80,000 on permits and such. When ready to get the occupation license was told by the CITY COUNCIL PERSON for that area that he HAD to take on a local partner if he wanted to open up. THIS IS ILLEGAL. Why is this council person not in prison ??
Several years back, a college friend of my dad's was on the board of a group wanting to bring a major international sporting event to the city. They visited and during the visit a council member straight asked what his "equity position" would be in the event. My dad's friend explained the event and it's managing entity were non-profit and that did not matter. The board left without even considering New Orleans and with a bad taste in their mouth about the city. He did not mention the councilmember's name. Only mentioned that he had a noticeable lisp.
Our location alone should be enough to have attracted a lot more business and industry than exists and the only thing keeping them away is our corrupt politics. I do not mention education because our lacking education is a function of corrupt politics.
