This is a lesson to ALWAYS carry Comp, Collision, & Uninsured Motorist. If you have none of these you are at the mercy of the other parties insurance & you don't want to be in that position at all. Attorney's only care about represening allegedly injured people because that is how they make money. Attorney's don't care about someone property damage & don't want to waste any time dealing with a person's car damage.

I am liability is only 250 dollars for 6 months. Comp and Collision with State Farm is expensive.

you'd be surprised how little damage it takes to "total loss" an older vehicle.
but you can still pay for repairs yourself a whole hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new vehicle.
