To address the rising number of dog attack cases, the central government has proposed a ban on 23 dangerous dog breeds in India. The central government has written to state governments asking them to ban the import, sale and breeding of certain dog breeds which are considered dangerous, according to a Times of India report. These breeds include Rottweiler, Mastiffs and Pitbulls.

I think their issue is that there are so many people that abandon these dogs in India. Then they form these roving packs and attack old people and kids.
They also have a shite ton of Rabies cases and deaths.
