In lieu of flowers...

I have a morbid habit of reading through the local obituaries.
Often see the "In lieu of flowers, donate to X charitable organization"
Does this message make you more willing to give something?
What's gonna be your organization you want people to donate to when you leave thew world behind?

Makes me less likely to do anything and I generally just keep the cash. Not sure who be my chosen charity.

"In lieu of flowers, donate to florists."
Florists.
Just to confuse people.

No, but some may feel inclined. Since they don't currently illustrate how the death occurred, sometimes I believe it's more of a how the death occurred type thing. Back in the day I believe obits were more informative.
