For now, though, it is still worth a visit.

For now…

They already did it to Lewiston, but yeah. At the rate they are going they have 10 years but they are retards and will absolutely ruin it. Hell they are already doing it, like crying about how the people they vote for are gutting the lobster industry, then voting for them again.

New Hamphire is pretty awesome though. Nowhere is perfect but it's all about risk management.

There is a very casual restaurant at the top of the (Marriott?) overlooking Busch Stadium called 360. Its a fun place to go maybe before/after the City Museum or Zoo.

If you don't get Ted Drewes frozen custard, you were never really in St. Louis.

Genuinely a dangerous Downtown even compared to the likes of New Orleans, Baltimore, Detroit.

The metro as a whole does have some old money and a decent corporate presence but it's got 7 fortune 500 companies and none are based Downtown. Draw your own conclusions. One of the tallest office buildings Downtown is literally abandoned and redevelopment is crawling along. They're all going to Clayton in the County instead or suburban office parks.

Apart from maybe Downtown Memphis, never been harassed by so many beggars, hustlers, seedy types and there's parts that are downright barren empty.

Blues and Cardinals games and Arch tourists are all that saves Downtown. Ballpark Village finished phase 2 in 2020. There's little demand for businesses to be Downtown so it's sort of stalled.

Doing zoo and city museum the next couple of days, happy to take reqs for food and such. Did the arch, I think it is something all Americans should do.

We go often for my daughter’s appointments at STL Children’s. We only go downtown to go to a Cardinals or Blues game but we have really enjoyed our time in other parts of St. Louis.

In addition to the zoo and City Museum I would take the kids to Grants Farm. The Clydesdale tour there is really nice. The Children’s museum is fun for the kids and the science museum is also free.

Restaurants - We like Zia’s, 5 Star Burgers (breakfast of champions burger is delicious!), Pappy’s smokehouse, Katie’s Pizza, Fitz’s is a fun place for the kids because you can watch them make the sodas right there and you can go walk around some cute little shops.
