CRISPER is a dangerous game at this point. There is no long term studies on its safety for ANYTHING.

I think this is a good technology to just sitback and collect research on for a decade or more before getting too excited.

My designer kids will one day get to take my superhuman grandkids on a trip to Florida devoid of genetic Floridians.

No, it is not a form of eugenics. Eugenics arguments historically were used to justify marginalizing or even killing living people based on stereotypes that weren't particularly well-researched.

This is editing genes for embryos based on the results of scientific research showing which genes cause which birth defects. That is a very different thing than sayng "Jews are this, blacks are that, therefore let's kill them so we can let Aryans rule uber alles."
