I have a weenie dog. She is ten and has been through Ida and the loss of her brother a month after Ida. She is awesome as a guard dog. She loves the grandkids…best pups I have ever had.

Got 2 myself. 3 year old and 7 year old. Goat dogs.

Could drop a pen on our front porch and those frickers would be up barking

When I had to put my male down after Ida it was so so hard. We lost our home from a tree during storm and I was already super depressed and putting him down just put me over the edge.

Get you another. Will probably wait another 4-5 years until our little girl is old enough to help care for an animal and get a third as her Christmas present one year.

Completely agree on labs. We had one and it passed away recently. Never again on labs.

Labs for many years have been the most popular dog in the US. So, yeah, that may impact your thinking about them. Most dogs are only as good as their owners.

Their breeding has a lot to do with it. I had one that was awful, lots of inbreeding.

Then Ive had a couple who were awesome. Any dog can have these issues.

The type of dog is important, but if you want a house dog or a dog that even goes outside, it’s just the idea of having a loyal and companion that another human can’t match.. my pups were always at the door a good 20 mins before I was supposed to show
Up. Yes they can tell time…
