Thought about maybe posting this on the travel board, but that place gets just a minuscule percentage of traffic the coveted OT lounge gets...

I’m graduating and thinking of where to plant my seed for the next 10-20 years or so. Growing up in BR, i’ve never wanted to leave this shithole more than now. With the crime rates and power hungry mayor/governor, i’m feeling like this city just isn’t for me. I love freedom and independence

Also, i’ve loved the outdoors ever since I can remember. Especially a place with an actual 4 seasons (colder weather wanted) and more activities to do outdoors besides hunting and fishing (although I love those both equally).

Ive narrowed it down to somewhere such as Bozeman, MT and Anchorage, AK. However, i’m really open to anything.

TLDR: Title says it. If you could restart where would you live during your prime (20-40 years old).

I graduate soon, and I’m completely in agreement with you. Can’t wait to leave BR. Such a miserable city. The day I graduate, I will turn around and never look back. frick LSU, too, by the way.

Not really looking to leave the country. Have too much family and friends here and don’t want to make visiting difficult/ learning a new language ain’t it.

If Alaska didn't exist, I would be in that area.

If we didn’t have kids and elderly parents, we’d be living somewhere in Wyoming right now. I can work anywhere in the country as long as I have internet and my wife is a teacher so she can work just about anywhere too. We’ve said for years if we didn’t have anything tying us to Louisiana, we’d live in the middle of nowhere somewhere pretty. I figure Wyoming fits that description pretty good.

I used to work a little bit in Chattanooga and unless I only worked in the worst parts of town, that city sucks arse.
