Did you not like NZ?

It was beautiful. Problem is my daughter in law had planned this whole trip and wanted us to see everything in 2 weeks. WE spent the whole time zooming from one place to another and we never had a chance to really enjoy any one part of it.

It was kind of a night mare.

I lived there from 70-73, age 18-21 and loved it, but it's my understanding that it has changed quite a bit, and for the worse since then.

From what I've read, it rivals, and sometimes surpasses N.O. in failing infrastructure and crime rates.

I'll be the odd ball here and choose Oxnard, CA.
Mountains, ocean, beach, great year round weather. Absolutely beautiful state

I feel the same way. If I could keep my same work, I'd move to the California coast just north of San Diego above anywhere else in the US.
I went to college at UC San Diego and love it there.

Agreed. I spent a LOT of time there, especially in Ojai, CA.

Beautiful. I could drive to the top of a mountain and fill my beer cooler with snow and then drive back to the beach and hang out.

Pacific Ocean water is really cold though.

It's many times worse than NO, BR, Shreveport, Memphis, B'ham, Montgomery, etc.
