re: If women didn't have makeup, how would it change things?

Would you consider facial moisturizer or face creams and serums makeup?
No
I work in TV, I have my own makeup for myself. Guarantee you posters here would see me in makeup and think I am not wearing any. I think most guys when they imagine the pretty unicorn naturally beautiful no makeup women they are really imagining one wearing a natural looking light layer of makeup probably consisting of a maybe a light foundation, concealer, MLBB shade lipstick, and mascara. And maybe an eyebrow pomade.

There is no objective standard for beauty.
Finally! In this argument there is the truth.
I have loved women with rocking bodies and their face was ok, I have loved women with beautiful faces with ok bodies.
I just wonder how it would change if women didn't have access to it.

It is absolutely amazing what makeup can do for a woman. I've seen pictures of women who were ok/kinda pretty, and then with makeup they are gorgeous. It just takes the right application. I wish I knew how to do the different effects, but I just stick to concealer, liquid foundation, blush, and eyeliner. The eyeliner gets in my eyes sometimes and makes it difficult when wearing contacts

Use gel eyeliner and tight line using a thin angled brush

This is me with online makeup tutorials...

I don't wear makeup just for my boyfriend. I wear it on days even when I don't see him. I make him wait while I put lots on when he couldn't care less. But everything I do doesn't revolve around pleasing him
I don't mean to judge you or any other lovely LoOT who like makeup. I also have hobbies that are just for me that waste time and money. You might think they are pretty silly.
But I think if you woke up and there was no makeup, your boyfriend wouldn't care and you would feel liberated just pinching your cheeks to blush them.

Gel eyeliner? Which brand?

Maybelliene Eye Studio Lasting Drama gel eyeliner isn't bad for a drug store brand

Nice that you all are sharing tips, but this thread is about if it wasn't available, what would you talk about?

Don't do that. Use the It cosmetics waterproof eyeliner. It's not going anywhere.
In answer to all of these guys in here, I don't wear makeup to catch a man or compete with other women. I wear makeup because it's a calming process and I'm good at it. The blending/color composition/drawing is just another art form, and it makes me happy.
If makeup didn't exist then I'd channel that into another art form that has the same effect on my mind, but no matter what that would be, none of it is for anyone else's happiness or approval.

I actually can agree with this. I don't have to do much because I am a guy but I find it pretty neat how much I can do even with the products I only use. I've gotten a lot better at it and enjoy the process now for the most part

YouTube can be your best friend with tutorials. I'll try some next week when I'm off.
I love when men say they like the natural look and they point to a celebrity's face like Kim Kardashian.
I do like the 'natural' look of Lauren Conrad from the hills show. She always look classy and well-put together

Only issue I have with liquid eyeliner is that it's unforgiving as frick
Make one mistake and you're fricked. At least gel can be smudged out easier and you can play it a lot safer when applying

Frickin A. No one is on topic. It's an interesting question and have been waiting for the actual discussion. Tried few times but feels like herding cats trying to get the beautiful people to talk about the ugly truth.

Wayne Goss is good
Lauren Curtis is good
I feel like too many YouTube makeup artists are about the ultra caked on Kim Kardashian look and not normal every day looks. Carly Bybel, Jaclyn Hill a couple of examples

I've never tried gel eyeliners before so I may have to give them a go.
But yeah, I know what you mean...I've messed up my eyeliner many times trying to get a perfect wing and the skin near my eyes would be red and feel raw from rubbing off the eyeliner to start over
