Boise just made the LGBT flag an official city flag lol
Boise or Salt Lake City?
I know SLC just did. The inner part of the city has really taken a turn over the past decade.

Idaho
My biggest complaint about Boise is that it’s been having really hot summers as of late. Like a lot of other states, Idaho is a completely different place from region to region.

Idaho is Montana with a great capital city. Boise is a glorious city, 12 miles from a great ski resort
I wouldn’t describe Bogus Basin as a ski resort, though it’s a great skiing recreational area for Boise residents. Boise is a great city IMO.

I've lived in eight states and have visited all 50. I've managed to find something I like and hate in each one of them.
Probably biased but I like Missouri (Ozarks region). People are cool, kind of a live and let live vibe. Plus you get 4 distinct seasons.
Honorable mentions for me are:
Louisiana (food)
Virginia (beautiful scenery)
Tennessee (scenery)
Kentucky (scenery plus bourbon)
Maine (hardly any people and lobster is the best there)
Alaska (hardly any people and the crab is the best there)
North Dakota (hardly any people but everyone will help anyone)

It's amazing to me to see how all of the little towns along I-15 have connected from SLC north. I hadn't been in 20 years up that way and it's contiguous.
I'm up in Cache Valley. Traffic is now a joke down there south of Ogden, Getting tired of the cold and snow as well.

Mississippi (Gulf Coast)
But I don’t think Texas is Overrated.

I've never been there, but I'd bet New Jersey is way better than people think.
