If the same product is available locally and doesn't cost too much more than Amazon and I need the product quickly, I'll go with the local product. If I don't have time to shop locally and I don't need the product that quickly, I'll go with Amazon.
The big reason I go with Amazon (or any other online vendor) is it's easier to find something online than getting on the phone or driving to one local store after another to find what I want.
