While certainly not everyone is on board, there's a huge contingent of maga that is israel first, and Trump isn't immune to it. It undercuts and weakens the entire message. If any politician here in the US advocated for what Net wants from us (endless wars and periodic regime changes for nearly every ME country on our dime), they would be rightly blasted as a neocon warhawk. But for someone reason a large part of maga still vehemently supports a man and his admin which lobbies for exactly that every time he comes over here.

You’re right. That’s what I try telling the Putin first people from the poliboard. If you’re against us having anything to do with Ukraine, then you can’t support Israel, because the argument against Ukraine, is that we shouldn’t get involved in all these wars that have nothing to do with us, and because it runs the risk of us actually having to send in our military to fight. Well Israel is far closer to dragging us to a real war than Ukraine is, and honestly for less of a reason too. Israel can handle the little sand tribes on their own perfectly fine. They’re way more advanced and smart than anyone else in the ME. From what I have always understood about US foreign policy, our main purpose is to confront large nuclear capable nations, because they are the true risk to instability and war/death in the world, but that’s probably mostly a narrative. We’re bad at fighting little wars anyways. We’re only good at the big wars.

Then they should be supporting attempts to remove hezbollah.

The muslims for the most part support Hezbollah. Obviously in the shiite south, but the sunis do as well especially when it comes to fighting Israel. They live and work amongst everyone else.

It is interesting that the right (including the poliboard) will pay attention to much of what alt media says on Ukraine, but not Israel.

With this standard, is there ever a line Israel could cross with how they engage in Lebanon?

Way to change arguments while pretending to be addressing same point in quote.

They aren’t just hitting hezbollah right now. They are lobbing bombs at Lebanon with no real color of reason other than “terrorist.” Are they going for regime change in Lebanon? Because otherwise they are just killing mostly Lebanese civilians at this point.

Show us this.

Netanyahu should have committed seppuku after 10/7 and turned Israel over the next generation of leadership.

I see some form of this is the current pro-hamas /anti-israel argument. It’s amazing how it has taken root in some people just looking to hate Israel and support hamas and hezbolla. Many of the people I see pushing this are also still pushing Russian collusion and pushed that Biden was his best self until the walking corpse couldn’t be reanimated enough in live tv.

It’s where the far right and the far left meet and start producing retarded off spring. Unfortunately the far left is becoming the mainstream Democratic Party.

That’s a very tall task. It’s buried in news sites across the world

“Under international law, a hospital can lose its special protected status only if it is being used for military purposes. But the wounded and sick inside are still protected by the principle of proportionality, and time must be given for evacuation before an attack.” That’s the standard.

“On October 1, an Israeli strike near al-Zahra University Hospital in Dahiyeh killed one person and injured two more inside the facility’s premises, according to the health ministry. Video of the attack analyzed by CNN found that the strike hit a building adjacent to the perimeter of the hospital, less than 50 meters away from the main building.”

“Around 20% of all hospitals registered with the health ministry in Lebanon have been damaged in a month of attacks, with most strikes landing in their vicinity, according to data compiled by medical authorities.” -CNN

“ At least 12 Lebanese Civil Defense first responders and 16 Lebanese Red Cross paramedics have been killed in strikes.” -CNN

“ CNN has reviewed over 240 airstrikes in Lebanon and found that at least 24 hospitals were within a 500-meter danger zone – used by the Israeli military as its parameter for evacuation areas – of the bombs.”

“More than 3,400 people have been killed in Lebanon, according to the Health Ministry, and over 1.2 million driven from their homes.” -NPR

We may not like Lebanon, but it’s a sovereign nation. Lebanon didn’t and isn’t attacking Israel. Israel is bombing Beirut in an attempt to kill members of hezbollah, but in doing so has killed civilians, displaced 1,200,000 people, and degraded Lebanon’s basic infrastructure.

What Israel is doing in Gaza is a different matter altogether. But what it is doing in Lebanon is very much in the gray of being a war crime.

For me Israel has tripped that line with what they are doing in Lebanon. And Israel is falling into the same trap we did in Iraq. It’s the same justification, the same nebulous objectives, the same lack of any plausible exit ramps.

As for Netanyahu - it’s not anti Israel or pro Hamas to call for him to be removed. His entire bargain was light corruption in exchange for ironclad security. On October 7 he failed Israel tremendously. He is absolutely covering his own arse now in an attempt to stay in power and avoid culpability.

Its amazing how many people think that a bunch of mouthbreathing Palestinians planned for months or even years a highly coordinated attack and that one of, if not the, most advanced country in the world didn't know anything about it.

Don't underestimate driven adversaries. The Chinese took UN forces by surprise in North Korea by moving everything in on foot, under extreme radio silence and only at night. By day, everyone had to stay silent and under camo. Caught UN forces with their pants down at the Chongchon River and Chosin Reservoir. The North Vietnamese surrounded Dien Bien Phu without the French knowing until it was too late.
