It was originally designed for the specific purpose of diagnosing medical issues. Then as promotion it was used on Jeopardy. Which was the point. It has been doing this stuff for years.

Dude, you live in Santa Barbara. Do you think you are more qualified than them to discuss this topic?

What topic is that? Robots diagnosing leukemia?

It's just sad to me that the same people that get all rabid about "Obama has divided this country racially blah blah blah" also find ways to inject racial barbs into any thread.

ROBOTS. LEUKEMIA. There is nothing involving race in there....but Abracadabra...there it is.

I'm pretty sure he was joking around since it was in regard to a robot apocalypse scenario.

Regardless, tensions are high in LA right now and people are rightfully on edge. But whenever you and your fellow Whole Foods enthusiasts have a chuckle about the anger of the Southern Man, this will be a foreign concept to you all, I know.

Goddamn right, not to say I called it but I fricking called it. Why waste time with an inferior and overpaid human doctor when computers can do it better and cheaper?

Our only hope is that they'll develop a liking for humans as pets.

They are emotionless machines incapable of forming that kind of bond.
We are doomed.
