Meh, the 80s have this cultural mystic from things like the Breakfast Club and other John Hughes films. In reality the 80s just set the scene for perhaps the greatest cultural decade in Americana, the 90s.

Also the Breakfast Club is a top 5 movie all time.

How are 90s the apex of cultural Americana? Not saying you're wrong...I just want you to explain.

The younger guys wouldn't believe the 80s.

Check this out:

We had to actually leave our homes and go looking for girls if we wanted some female time.

Lol I just prefer 90s things like sitcoms, music, pro wrestling to be better than most decades. I will say that post 90s have seen a decline in a lot of cultural and entertainment areas. Also Game of Thrones was started in the 90s.

If someone wasn't at home or at work...you just couldn't call them on the phone!

Imagine that...

Yes, but in NOLA the legal drinking age was 18, and even that was not enforced......

No, smartass. There is no USSR. The both of you thought you were being cute though.

So you are saying the 80 were worse than other decades because the nukes aimed at us had "USSR" painted on them in lie of "Russia" painted on them. Gotcha.

Really well thought out point. Awesome even.

I'm of the opinion that the capacity to annihilate the world multiple times over is what is important here, not the name of the people controlling them (since that never changes one bit, nor did the capability).
