This was a hearing for an exparte order. The judge(female)continued the order. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Were the problems during marriage sufficient to outweigh the problems currently?

Do you not see how a judge would raise an eyebrow at you and your wife drinking two beers each and driving home with your minor kids in the car?

Could one of you not stayed stone sober and driven home?

You drank with your kids with you during a custody battle. I don't know how you don't get what an error in judgment that was. Little things can tip scales.

Did you admit to having two beers? Is she claiming you drink a lot and this wasn't an isolated event?

You said you live in a bible belt, so there's that, too.

You fed her some ammo. Maybe the next hearing will go better, but I wouldn't be caught drinking anything but coffee, tea or water in public again if I wanted my kids. I wouldn't drink in front of them either based on the ruling you got today if I was in your position.

It sounds like you lost this one on your own.

How can she justifiably prove I was intoxicated and placed my children in danger? Without a reasonable doubt doesn't count anymore?

You've watched too many episodes of Law and Order. Stop using buzzwords.

Intoxication doesn't matter. It speaks to your judgment. Reasonable doubt doesn't matter; you're not getting arrested.

You don't have a lawyer problem. You have a you problem.

Usually, most times, the problem is the client, not the lawyer.

Dinner with two beers over let's say an hour and a half would equate to someone being sober.. I get what you're saying but the logic of a benign legal act That doesn't put the children in danger is what's troubling with the family court system.

I appreciate your input and thank you for bringing a different perspective, but I must have missed DJT's decree on drinking alcohol in America. Of course she is claiming I drink a lot. There is absolutely no justifiable proof. My lawyer laid down completely and I believe it's because of his religious preferences....

I don't think he's being unreasonable to be upset, if that's the whole story. Your body processes alcohol at a rate of approximately one drink per hour. Consumption of food slows that process, and lessens the short term side effects of the consumption.

Two drinks over dinner sounds perfectly harmless.

Come on, guy. Most humans know that reasonable doubt only applies in criminal cases.
