Yeah probably should be have just done some of the work myself. I mean I figured I was going to get worked if I had them do it, but not this bad.

My body is ready OT.

You guys only pay $16 for state inspection?

Hell we pay $40 here in Texas.

only thing i see ridiculous is the shop supplies. That is like 5x as much as shops charge for shop supplies.

I recently had some of that work done by a very trusted mechanic...I'll check the invoice and see how much that was but looks close if I recall correctly.

A little over $1600 when you get the taxes added in.

Tires what I expected. I wasnt thinking it was going to be $900-1000 for the brakes and rotors.

What kind of car do you have? $100 per axle for brake pads is very very high IMO.

Looks like you waited as long as possible before getting your vehicle serviced.

If you buy the brakes from autozone with the warranty and do it yourself, you never have to buy brakes again. Just bring in the old ones.

Their shop rate seems a little high but not obnoxious. 3 hours labor to change brakes seems reasonable, figuring 45 minutes per side.

Folks, please don't buy "lifetime" brake pads! The pads will last but your rotors won't.

We covered this yesterday in class
