It’s all about time value of money. If you are OT rich and understand your time is better spent on other things, it’s worth it. If OT poor and the few thousand dollars matters, sell it yourself.

My last realtor how helped me buy my current home was kind of lazy in showings. Once I found a place I liked and agreed to make a bid he was helpful, but the market has been so good the last few years where I live most realtors are getting lazy and won't take you as seriously as they used to when the market was down.
