we've flown several times ATL to Baltimore no issues. yes, it's the Greyhound of the skies, and flying into ATL you're likely to be put in timeout waiting for a gate, and I can make do for 1:45 flying time without drinks and IFE. That said, me and the wife are taking Frontier from ATL to BWI Thurs night. can't wait. Still they fly the same planes A320/21 and all we need is small bag

quote:This is exactly why I will never fly Spirit even if it’s half the price of another airline. Not worth the hassle and the 3-4 times I fly per year I want them to be as enjoyable as possible.
It got cancelled and of course, there were no Spirit employees to talk to at the ticket counter to see about getting me on another flight home. Same for their 1-800 customer service line. So, I ubered over to Love Field and grabbed a SWA one way to MSY. Luckily I carried on my bag so no need to worry about luggage, but I don’t think I ever got a refund or voucher from Spirit. So, frick Spiri

coincidentally I had a last minute spirit flight on Sunday…we overslept and missed our 7am SW flight back home from Las Vegas and booked a noon spirit direct flight which was the only way we were getting home without a tour of southern airports
The spirit flight was head and shoulders more pleasant than the outbound SW flight. The plane was brand new, clean, comfortable and quieter in the cabin, we had assigned seats, and didn’t have to deal with the damn beverage cart banging into the seats for a half hour while fatasses order their third dr pepper
It was…civilized

You have to fly early. Most of the riff-raff can't wake up early enough to catch those first flights out.

Last time we flew, wife and I used spirit and got the big comfy seats at the front. Was the best experience I ever had. Last one on plane and first off.
I will say, do not check a bag with them. Our flight was at 7am. The fricking clerks didn't show up until almost 6am and they had two flights worth of bags to check.
I said frick it and took my large suitcase through security and made them check it at the gate because we would have missed the flight
