Police are giving a press conference and the police chief just said that the suspect gave away a mattress a few days ago and they want the person who received it to contact the police.

I do this often when there is a national story like this and they haven't released a name. Just for my own personal curiosity and I like the search. I just relayed the info here, as this is the only message board I frequent.
I'll tell you what I did step by step.
I saw this picture, and saw on the mailbox that the house number is 547:
I searched house number 547 in Salt Lake City on Google Maps and used street view to see if the house matches.
On the 4th result, I found the house that matches at 547 1000 West. Here it is:
Then I went to White Pages and did a reverse address search and found who lives at that address:
Then once I had a name, I did a google search and found the picture that I posted of the guy, and I also found that he wrote a book on Amazon, he sold a mattress 5 days ago on LetGo.com, his LinkedIn profile, etc.
That's how I did it.

Frankly, it's amazing the number of college broads on there. And while plenty of low end trash had found the site, the quality of talent was pretty good for the most part. Was definitely slipping a few years ago though.
