I dunno if it was 11 seconds, but it was quick, once you realized that pairs of the highest and the lowest numbers added up to 30. Kinda like how in NCAA Tournament seeding in the first round adds up to 17. (1 plays 16, 2 plays 15, 3 plays 14, etc.) Or if you have a standard die, the faces on opposite sides from each other always add up to 7.

It was kind of obvious. If it wasn't,if it was any group of numbers the one in the middle has to be the fifth ranked one.

Interesting analysis.

I looked at it differently using evenness and oddness. 45 is odd and so the middle number wouldn't be even because we would end up adding 2 (or 3) even numbers and an odd number that result in an even number. And so I chose 15 as a middle number that would assure me an odd number of 45.
