Glad I checked TD this morning before I left the house. Went I-55 to get across the lake and avoided all the traffic

3 miles at most.

All that mess over a boat coming off a trailer.
I was wondering how the bass boat ended up under the semi-trailer. I assumed the trailer got clipped by someone else.

Sucks that all 9 of us had to deal with Baton Rouge-like traffic conditions this morning. Makes you grateful for everything else we have.

Better shut down the basin bridge just to be safe.

That section of I-12 is scheduled to be three-laned pretty soon. I’d assume from East of the US Hwy 190 intersection heading West past the LA Hwy 21 Exit.
While 3 laneing, they should add frontage roads to keep the traffic (ALLOT OF IT) only going between 190 and 21 off the damned Interstate.
But that would be too logical.

I've had to commute to BR and NOLA and within both cities in the past. My commute to Covington now is the easiest one I've ever had.

That’s great news. It’s about time though. This should of been accomplished 15 years ago. Unfortunately, the planning commission and parish Pres. in St.Tammany Parish is all about making money and not about it’s residence. I grew up in Mandeville (Lewisburg) and recently moved to Madison Ms. I quickly realized what a city can became when some thought is put into building a suburb!

That was a must do. I went to MHS and I did the jump too back in 98. Used to be a rope swing at the base of the bridge.
