One of the benefits of working overseas. I can buy Valium like aspirin back home.

Good thing I don't live overseas. Of all the things I've been prescribed, it's the only thing I can see myself ever getting addicted to. Hell, it's the only thing I finished.

I only take it when in need. My job has times when it's very stressful. It's a nice relief after 12 hours of nerve wracking stress. Hitting the gym first thing when I wake up does the rest.
You can also get xanax so there's room for multiple addictions if you're interested. Purchases can be made 120 at a time.

There's as much fail in this "addiction" discussion as there is in the op. Drug addiction and chemical dependence are two completeoy different things.
"Drug addiction refers to a behavioral syndrome where the procurement and use of a drug seem to dominate the individual's motivation and where the normal constraints on the individual's behavior seem largely ineffective. Inherent in this definition is the overwhelmingly powerful motivation to obtain and self-administer the drug."
"Drug dependence refers to a state where the individual is dependent upon the drug for normal physiological functioning. Abstinence from the drug produces withdrawal reactions which constitute the only evidence for dependence. Drug dependence can involve disturbances in general bodily (i.e., somatic) function such as vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, and the resulting symptoms indicate a physical dependence syndrome which is usually specific for a given class of drug."

I have a script for xanax in the US and I agree. I don't find them as effective as valium.

In short, if you take Vicodin for a year and stop suddenly, you should have withdrawal. That is normal. You should also be able to taper off with no problem.
If you're sucking dick to get more Vicodin, you are addicted.

When I say addictive, I'm talking about the physical symptoms you experience when you stop taking it (for a long time, of course). Severe flu-like symptoms and fever. I've seen it happen.
I have never seen more than mild withdrawls. Of course, I've never had anybody on the max dose for prolonged periods due to increased seizure risk. Tramadol is much, much, much less addictive than any other controlled pain med. It was only recently made controlled within the last few years. In 13 years, I have never seen a tramadol junkie. And I've seen a lot of druggies in the ER's.

Quoting a buddy's experience, not mine, with a drug-seeker in the office.
"What's this guy want? Ultram? frick it. Give him 100."

How am I a dumb count?
Because in my experience with severe muscle spasms in my neck the only thing that gives me any relief so I can lie down is Valium? Ok
