Storm is in the Gulf, go buy gas, canned foods and snacks, water and booze. That's all the prep you are getting out of me.

My family lives in the Mecca. I would gas up both vehicles and head north if needed. Nothing else needed on this end.

Fill up the vehicles when the time comes, have bottles of water in stock, stock up on enough food that will last 4 or 5 days. Make sure weapons are ready to go.

Im looking to get one of those generators that kicks on as soon as the electricity goes out. That would help out a lot, but there is only so much you can realistically do.

I'm going to do nothing until a few days before I know for sure it will hit.

I just read tigerdroppings and don't panic until PJ says that the storm is going elsewhere, or will be no big deal. It isn't until that point that I know we are all screwed.

We have a cabin in Coker Creek, TN. That’s the rendezvous point when a big storm hits.

I went to all of the local truck stop bathrooms and took sole ownership of all of the Horny Goat Weed.
