Huge Fire Just Southwest of Alexandria

Anybody have any scoop? I was driving through and could see the smoke about 30 miles away. Looks pretty legit.

Probably the forestry service control burning part of Kisatche. They usually do it this time of the year.

Yea i saw a crew in Bentley the other day

They had actual forest fires up there during last summer

Good time to do it. Drought is gone, and the humidity is going up.

Yep and we just had a few weekends in a row with heavy rain. Things are still decently wet in the woods so now is the time to do it safely. They already burned a small portion a month or so ago right along my daily route to work every day. My car smelled like burnt pinewood for days.

There's another one almost identical near Homochitto National Forest in MS. Likely controlled burn but yeah pretty huge on satellite imagery
