Who are the idiots the chose the land and the grading for these lots? You've got two "mansions" overlooking a huge culvert, and another five that abut berms that are going to need retaining walls. They all sit on 0.20 acres as well. This is criminal.

Wasn't there an ole boy from the Houma area that was trying to get funding for a theme park several years ago? Maybe I am thinking of something else, but I know some guy was trying to look for funding for a theme park in La.

Another high rise that never happened after Katrina was Tracage in the Warehouse District. It was litigated to death by the neighbors and never got built.

Yellow creek Nuclear Power plant in Iuka, MS.

TVA decided that it didn't need the plant. By then, the agency had already spent $1.2 billion on the project.

TVA eventually sold its property to NASA, which planned to build a plant to make advanced motors for the space shuttle's solid rocket boosters. It poured another $2 billion into the site before deciding that it didn't need it. Aannnnd it was also cancelled.

So TVA bought it for 1.2 Billion… partially built on it… and sold it to NASA for 2 Billion and they didn’t even touch it.

Gotta love government

Does the Monroe, LA V-Vehicle plant count?

quote:

The U.S. Department of Energy has dealt a devastating blow to one of Gov. Bobby Jindal's major economic development projects by denying approval of $321 million for V-Vehicle Co.'s proposed Monroe manufacturing plant for energy-efficient cars.

quote:

V-Vehicle will return the $6.2 million the state already has provided in incentives. The company was once eligible for more than $80 million in incentives and had raised more than $80 million in private capital.
