I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The military has checks and balances to account for the weakest link in the chain.

Also the military isn't turning on you anytime soon, if you are actually worried about your freedoms the real concern is government just shutting down the country and nobody batting an eye over it since they are hoping to get $1200 checks.
