Great response. It's a breathe of fresh air to see someone with a quality opinion after all this!

100% without a doubt I would give up season tickets and never attend another LSU game in my life.

LSU would never see another dime from me.

I respect you for your honesty.

I respect you for saying you care more about your entertainment and potentially the source of your entertainments humanity.

I dont respect you as a person though.

IF any coach in the SEC has a ounce of sense they would approach their players and ask them about the environment around campus. That way the players feel comfortable talking to the coach or coaches about anything related to race issues on campus.

The fanbase would response would be similar, since most fans of college schools look at these kids as sources of entertainment.

That would go miles, no pun intended, in recruiting. It's something that doesnt need to be publicized, and I dont think it would be. Will it happen? I dont know, ive never been a college athlete or in a locker of that sort. I would hope it happens. It benefits EVERYONE.

Jerry can I buy you a beer?

I've been arguing all day about this and people don't seem to understand athletes aren't just machines for the University. Just

Oh I wouldn't just stop there I would never hire any LSU grad the same way I will never hire an Mizzou grad with a degree after 2014.

I'd hope LSU students would be smart enough to fight real battles. Not over mythical poop graffiti

LSU is far from perfect it really isn't out of the realm of possibility that this could happen but I'd hope that it doesn't happen over some bs.

LSU players have goals for the next level. They would play

And I think the ones that don't have goals would refuse to sabotage their fellow players, the school, or their coaches....and protest on their own time.

I don't think anyone that's followed the situation will ever view mizzou the same which really sucks for the normal students there

I don't think this type of decision by the players would affect their chances at the next level.

Remember talent rules over everything. One game wouldn't hurt an elite talents potential to get drafted to the next level.

If LSU were 3-6 or having a shitty season, it would be more likely.

I'd be really pissed if I were one of the Mizzou players now, in light of some of the events of the past 24 hours.

Black protesters marched on campus. They said the purple and gold confederate flag (which was flown by tailgaters on game day) was offensive and it needed to be taken down.

They marched to the Chancellor's office on a home game day. He praised them for rallying around a worthy cause. But he told them their first amendment rights which gave them the freedom to assemble and protest also protected the flag supporters.

The school then put pressure on te manufactures for using the LSU color scheme. They aren't made anymore.

Win-win.

Its different when it comes from the players.

The chanchellor cant do a "win-win" with the players.

He'll lose the team and his job.

Money rules and Football is the cash crop.

Chancellors are replaceable. Quality football teams (players) are not. Ask Chip Kelly.

WTF how stupid is that statement?
1. It a fricking sport and not the reason for a university.

2. We literally replace players at min every 4-5 years. How can you say they are not replaceable? A good chancellor is worth wayyyyyyy more to a university than a kid that will be in campus for a few years.

You'd rethink what LSU or other SEC institutions are without its football. Its identity and public image is embedded in Saturday afternoons. And its a revenue generator.

QUALITY players are not replaceable. Without top flight talent, we are FIU or Mid Tenn State. Without talent, no one goes to the games. Without talent, we dont win. Without talent, we dont make money. Without talent we are ULL.

There are less highly skilled athletes in this whole than chancellors...their skills are easier to find than top flight athletes.

You can't compare LSU or any school in this state to Gtech.
