When is too old to do this? I'm almost 32 and want to start over. For some reason, 28 seems so much younger than 32 although my perspective is probably fricked up.

Don't know. I've had 50 year old people (professional people) who did it for something different. I've got a 45 year old from france coming to be a river guide this summer.

I was 32 when I said frick it and took off. Best thing I ever did, and I had a wife and two kids. We sold the house and split.

Sounds like you have depression.

You should talk to your doctor.

I agree. People have a mindset about how life is supposed to work, and it doesn't work like that for many people. There is no right or wrong, if it works for you it's a good thing.

You should take the knowledge you have in your field and start your own company. You work for yourself. You'll never be bored, and you can keep your own schedule (for the most part). Put that bizness degree to good use and make a plan. Then run it by investors. The work putting it together will at least pull you out the rut, and give you something to hope/strive for. You're 28, it's the perfect time to take risks.

Is this business lucrative or to much trouble for just scraping out a living?

Aren't you in the delta? Farming is pretty lucrative up there.
