I've thought he was a troll much like the poster, Hugo stiglitz' love for Hillary Clinton; however, I don't think Volod is a troll

I will probably put an image of my degree in my upcoming SUBR graduation thread. Suffice it to say, it contained everything most of the OT thought it would.

I acknowledge that I don't have a traditional engineering background. That's why I went to another school in the 1st place.
But as the OT and I have discovered, all schools are not created equal. Engineering at SU is no where near as tough as Tech or LSU. Most of the UG at Southern could not pass the PE.

Which is what?
It wasn't long ago when southern got in big trouble for being a diploma mill.
I thought that it was common knowledge that many hbcu's have not properly educated many of their students: I know Howard and morehouse are exceptions.

He is a troll. He once suggested a valid reason to get a masters degree was to gain the acceptance and admiration of your peers.

I'm a 38 years old EE grad from SU and making well over the 6 figure mark and I know many others who I graduate with are doing just as well or better as I am. School only teaches you basic knowledge. Whoever you decide to work for, that's when the real learning begins. Coming out of school, your employer will train you how to do the job. I have a very strong work ethic and a high degree of a willingness to learn so coming out of school I was a sponge. People on here try to talk bad about schools like SU, but in it's not so much the school> If the program is accredited, which SU's Engineering program is (ABET in regards to Engineering), they all teach the same basic engineering concepts. I've worked along side people who graduated from TAMU, LSU, Georgia Tech, Louisiana Tech, UT, Purdue, etc. and there are dumb asses everywhere. There's this one ME who went to LSU and I don't see how in the hell this guy made it through LSU's program b/c he doesn't know a damn thing. Success is all predicated on the individual's work ethic and drive. If you want to be successful, it really doesn't matter where your degree comes from once you enter the workplace.

Thank You Hammond Tiger. To be honest, I understood from my initial posts on TD that speaking about SUBR here would not be a good idea. I only do it now because I honestly let my curiosity get the better of me (and I love reading the silly comments)
I understand you are a successful individual, but I should be honest with you. I feel that the undergrad at Tech was simply ALOT harder in terms of coursework. I have learned valuable knowledge while being at SUBR engineering and I am confident that I will find a good career. However, SUBR is focused more on individual student success. Most major PWI are more focused on research and weeding out students to preserve "quality" of the programs.
Neither school system is bad, but they are two very different approaches to education. This is why I said not all schools are created equal.
