I have an American accent to someone from Britain but have very little regional influence here in the States, just a very slight drawl that only shows up in certain words. There are lots of people like this, especially in suburbs.

My folks are from Childersburg and Sycamore Alabama so my accent is pretty thick. Down yonder, I reckon, etc..

Little to none. I live in Atlanta and routinely have people mention that I dont have an accent for a southern boy. Guess thats what happens when you grow up in a metro area with about as many transplants as natives.

I talk to people from all over the country for my job. They are always shocked to learn I am born and raised in BR since I basically have little to no accent. However, when I went to London about 10 years ago people there thought I was from Australia. So I guess a slight southern accent sounds Australian.

I have heard a few times that people from his city don't have an accent. Mine is more of a mutt because I've spent considerable time around a lot of different people either through work or just growing up. I have family from Lafayette, Labadieville, Covington, da parish, New Orleans (upper and lower class, and also yat), rural South Carolina, and Mexico. Have worked all over South LA, and lived all over SELA.
When I first meet people, they say it sounds funny. I don't know how to discern the middle of the scale, but when I'm drunk, it's probably a 9 or 10/10 because I just give up on trying to make words work together
