48! It’s been nice. Of course I had to buy one of my daughters a new car like 6 months after but that’s like 1/4 of my prior mortgage.

The second house I owned was paid off around age 40, we've moved up since then.

It sounds and feels great. It’s great for the average Joe.

When you realize that the bank is offering you a 30 year 4% loan denominated in a currency that’s being debased at 10% per year, that interest seems pretty insignificant.

We moved around a lot for career reasons, so kept resetting our loan situation.
And now, even having enough money to wipe it out, the loan has such a low interest rate that it makes no sense to pay it off.
