How often do you buy something, use it once, then return it?

I do this from time to time.

Once. My first wife.

I've done it once. I bought a router from Walmart at the beach, because the one in the condo didn't have 5Ghz. The 2.4Ghz channel sucked with that many other routers close by in the other units. Returned it after I got home.

When I was broke as a joke in college, I would hit up a CVS or Walgreens for a squeeze of toothpaste or shaving cream most mornings.

I've never done that in my life.

When I was 21, I once bought some bed sheets from Wal Mart.
My girlfriend was coming to visit me out of state, and I was staying at a friends house who was an absolute SLOB and she wouldn't sleep on the bed sheets at his house.
Anyway, we did it a few times on them, she drove back to Nola, I put the sheets back in the plastic and returned them to Wal Mart for a full refund.

I saw a lady walk into a Walgreens with two frozen packs of Bacon. She caused a scene and asked to speak to the manager who was white. Manager says "our bacon is never frozen so you didn't get that from here". The customer responds with "so what you are telling me is that I can wait for it to thaw out and then I can return it here" Manager says no and the customer says "is it because I'm black"

All the time, it's a clever way to use something and keep the money instead of paying for it.

What if she bought them there and then froze them at home, then decided she didn't need the bacon (that's the part that makes no sense) and wanted to return them?

Hmmmm. Guess I never thought of that.. Well the manager, cashier and myself didn't buy her story but oh well.

I imagine if that was the case, she would have said so.

So, you came to announce that you are a trashy thief? You suck at life.
ETA - No different from awful women who wear a dress once and return it.

Swimsuits. They are way too expensive. Get a week's use in them, send it back.
