I don’t think I do that. Can’t say I spend too much time worried about what others think and can’t say I GAF where others vacation or what they drive

It’s been that way long before social media. “Keeping Up With the Joneses’” is a long standing phrase (over 100 years old) to describe people’s inherent desire to have equal or more than their neighbors.

It all started when we moved into close-quartered neighborhoods and everything we bought was well-known to our peers.

Way too much, my grandfather used to say if you can’t buy it at Walmart you don’t really need it. (Lived in Sarepta, Louisiana)
