I don’t think I do that. Can’t say I spend too much time worried about what others think and can’t say I GAF where others vacation or what they drive

This year I got a private bedroom and bathroom 3 blocks off Laguna Beach for $700. Will that get me to Europe? Last year I paid $800 for a condo 1 block off the beach in Navarre.
Dude, shut the frick up. Don’t tell people about how to do 30A cheap, or it won’t be cheap any more.
Signed,
Someone who goes to 30A every year with a family of four for less than $1000.

Social media has ruined us. We all worry about what others are doing and compare to that.
It’s been that way long before social media. “Keeping Up With the Joneses’” is a long standing phrase (over 100 years old) to describe people’s inherent desire to have equal or more than their neighbors.
It all started when we moved into close-quartered neighborhoods and everything we bought was well-known to our peers.

Way too much, my grandfather used to say if you can’t buy it at Walmart you don’t really need it. (Lived in Sarepta, Louisiana)
