$1 per hour pumping gas and cleaning windshields for Bobby Rutledge at his Exxon on 7th st./Whites Ferry Rd., West Monroe in 1968. i was 15.

7/hour at 17, but maybe came out to 12 after tips. I was scrawny in high school delivering furniture/appliances and people would love to tell me that I was too small to get anything "heavy" in their house. I would simply bet them 10-20 bucks that I could prove them wrong. 70% of the customers backed off after that but I always won against the other 30%. Stupid St. Mary Parish people...
