This isn't directed to anyone in particular but I since this thread is about those E-cigs, I am asking for some advice if possible.

Those of you who have smoked for a long time. I mean a LONG time, does this seem to be the same, possible aiding you in quitting altogether?

My mom (who is in her 60's now) has smoked since I was a kid. She's tried the gum, a few other things but nothing seems to help. She seems to smoke more now than she ever has.

Anyone have similar experiences and do these E-cigs cut down on the "need" to smoke? I'm not a smoker so I have no idea.

Thanks for any help.

What these things do is not really replace it, because you still have the desire at first, but it gives you nicotine like the gum and patch does, but it goes over your lungs in the form of vapor combined with the "what to do with myself" thing at the same time, so I think it makes it easier to ween yourself off the nicotine. The "what to do with yourself" thing, combined with the very strong addiction to nicotine, is perhaps the worst, and this gives you something to do while weening yourself off, and ridding yourself immediately of the really harmful things associated with smoking in actual tobacco smoke, tar and other chemicals.

My game plan, as was the pattern of others who've quit with it is to decrease the amount of nicotine to zero, and then there's just the mental thingy with vapor alone, oral fixation to get rid of, which without the very strong Nic cravings, is manageable, but still then, it's just vapor and no Nic. I've already began decreasing, and it's quite doable with the desire to actually do it.

Bonus is right away you breathe better, smell better, taste better, and feel better with more energy, not to mention your clothes and such don't smell like it, nor do you, and you go from 5, 10' or even 15 dollars a day down to a buck or so a day, and eventually none of that, and without packing on the weight by turning to food either. I even think your skin looks healthier.

The initial investment is a little over a hundred for something quality that you will enjoy and worthwhile, but after that, which is only a week or so of savings from buying smokes, it's on.

I'm 37. Been a smoker since 19. Trying to quit.

My wife and I have been using the e-cig for a little while and it does help a little.

Here's the thing --- I have the crave for nicotine. I have the habit of reaching for my cigs and smoking.

But yes, to answer the OP... we're both using the Vapage E cig.

If you like these i made a flavor that tastes just like them.

Mix half green apple and butterscotch. Smokecignals makes it for me. I tried half green apple and caramel but the caramel didn't taste like the sucker. Using the butterscotch instead nailed the taste perfectly.

I use a Vamo V5 with a Protank 2

Here are a few brand new, inexpensive suggestions for those interested.

For those trying to quit smoking, or looking for a healthy vaping alternative, check out VitaCig: LINK

I've bought some and enjoy them a lot. There is absolutely no nicotine in these and they last for a long time (roughly 500 puffs). The energize (citrus flavor) is my favorite.

For those that like to vape MJ, there is similar product called mcig that is worth checking out: LINK

I go with the menthols. Supermint and Chill-out from SmokeCignals. Butterscotch is a decent desert vape.

I do. So far my favorite is whipped cream. I need to get some more because this blackberry/blueberry is not doing it for me.

I'm lucky to have SmokeCignals close by. They make all their juices in house so you can get whatever flavors and whatever nicotine levels you want. You can also mix VG and PG ratios for thicker vapor. I haven't found any pre-made juices that I really like.

You choose the flavor or flavors, choose single, double or triple shot of flavor strength then choose nicotine level

I'd reconsider this. The vapor is pretty well known to contain possibly harmful chemicals.

For those asking if it helps people stop smoking I'll say that I started vaping because I was an on and off smoker for about 2 years and I noticed it was becoming more and more of a habit and I smoked way too many when I drank. Now I don't even crave them even when drinking. I smoke the shite out of the vape now but I prefer the taste and I feel much cleaner.
