I'd stay straight when everyone turned right. You would go all the way around until you got to like a playground or something. I don't remember the streets anymore. It was before all the sororities. Hell I turned left there. Straight shot behind all the houses. We started where the two lakes met and headed the opposite direction of State St.

If you follow the entire lake and don't take the shortcut on Stanford, it's 3.98 miles.
Just comprehended that my measure of 4.2 from when I used to run it almost daily is wrong because it's outdated...before smartphone apps or even common GPS. Damn I'm old.

Is it 4 miles? I'm talking about the one that is at Stanford ave.
Yes.I may not look it now but I've run those lakes since '84.
Some apps will show it 3.9. some 4.2. If I start on stanford(i always go clockwise), I'll start from the entrance by the exercise station and finish at the entrance closer to the walking bridge to make sure it's 4.
make sense?

Thread hijack: clockwise or counterclockwise?

Clockwise, so you'll be running against traffic like you're supposed to.

I always try and go the opposite direction of whatever direction the hot chicks are running. That way they can't tell how slow I'm going and I'll pass them once.
