I have two grudges that I think will go to the grave with me.
It's hard not to act on those grudges.
Not trying to get philosophical, but this is literally what turning the other cheek is about. If someone is harming you, you can and should stop them.
If they've already harmed you, revenge and punishment is up to God.
It's counterintuitive of course, and that's why it's so hard, but the only person being hurt anymore is you. Let it go. Forget about it. When you start to think about it, stop yourself. Take it from a guy who has held, and acted on, more grudges than most people.

So the alternate title of this thread is "how long have you carried a fridge?"
If you count the small office ones, I've carried a fridge immeasurably longer than I've carried a frudge.

I held one for about a year after my Pop's death. Sister tried "helping herself" to the family trough (dipped in for an early 40-60k warmup). I was pissed beyond. I couldn't sleep, eat right, it was hell.
I realized one day during the probate period that this anger was killing me. One morning I just let it go realizing that I had two kids and a lot more living to do. It felt great...and then the wife did the woman thing and started stirring the whole thing up again. I slept downstairs, away from that noise, until the estate was settled.
Those grudges will kill you. Get on with living...

I still haven't forgiven Taco Bell for getting rid of the Mexican Pizza.

You remember what the Bible says about not forgiving people? It's against it.
