Exactly. Texas has been celebrating it since 1980. It is really just a Texas based deal that is almost like an April Fool’s joke. “Hey, you’ve been freed for two years but we forgot to tell you”. Seems more embarrassing than celebratory.

Our company announced on Friday that we will be off for Juneteenth in 2023. They wanted to do it this year, but for some reason couldn't make it happen in time.

Not many private companies get MLKjr day or Veterans Day - what’s the difference with this?
