Do I need an architect to draw up some plans for me?

That border collie isn't gonna stay in a dog house.

Nah. Just like a ginger bread house but slightly larger.

If you think you need an architect you shouldn't be attempting this.

Why are you wanting to build a dog house?

Very easy, my dad got bored on Sunday and built our dog one back in the day. Put shingles on it and a light switch. It was pretty neat

I just meant, why not let the dog stay inside instead?

I have a ridiculously expensive home and I don't want him fricking up anything at first. We may let him in later.

Build a wooden box with a hole in the side. Nail a piece of tin on top of the box. Doghouse is built. When it rots, repeat.

How hard was it to teach the dog to use the light switch?

You can always class the yard up with this.

This is your first dog correct? I think you made another thread about this.

Crate train him....and when you aren't home...he is in the crate. That way he can't destroy anything. You need to establish expected behavior with him now as a puppy.

Pretty easy. But I've seen some pretty complicated doghouse structures online. How much do you love your dog? Make it badass...
