How far reaching locally is the Alton Sterling backlash

My two youngest daughters are going a field trip with their daycare near campus. I know about the letter F. King Alexander issued yesterday; I'm just curious as to the feel for the campus and surrounding areas regarding these issues.

Considering where this shooting happen in BR. I highly doubt any backlash will be on LSU's campus (Not to mention, school is out)

Just stopped at the Race Trac on Florida & North Foster (the shooting was about a mile down N Foster from there)...

Not so much scared as cautious. I wouldn't want to place my children in the midst of civil upheavel, regardless of the situation.

South Baton Rouge is right off of campus and may become a little hairy if something breaks out today. She should be fine if she is on campus though.
