How does the "deferred ticket" option work in Texas?

Houston-Harris County more specifically if it matters. Asking for a friend. Seriously.

She got a ticket in December and did the "deferred" option. Unfortunately she got one this morning, 36 in a 20 MPH school zone.

I assume any "deferring" whatever that amounts to is out this go around. Will there be repercussions with the ticket in December for what happened today?

Just hire one of those of traffic ticket law firms online. Either it will get dismissed when the cop doesn't show up at court or they will get it dropped down to a non moving violation.

From what I understand you just lose the probabtion deal. So had she not gotten this ticket on the 90th day the ticket goes off of your traffic record. Essentially she just paid extra for it to go away, but since she got another ticket it won't.
