You will lose in the long run unless you are like me and have a very strong background in math/statistics/programming and even then its still extremely challenging just to break even.
While a common sentiment, it's just factually incorrect. There are many winning bettors out there that know very little about the underlying games.
I'd venture to guess if you had to separate the skills there are many more profitable people on the line shopping, arb, exploiting bad lines side of the spectrum than on the modeling side.

Thanks for the tip. I need to google what a parlay is though. I don’t even go to the casino unless a group of friends want to go. Then I collect my free drinks
Don’t like casinos
I play poker with buddies at the house but don’t like cigarette smells
Parlay is when you bet on multiple things to happen and if they do the reward is much bigger
I’m gonna lose my 4 teamer tonight because of the rockets but I bet 4 teams would hit $10 to win $100
I do mostly straights and throw in a parlay or 2

If I would bet the same every game I'd be OK but I don't. Certain games I'll pound and if I lose I start chasing which seldom turns out good. But I know the NFL and I have a system I use. I
I don't even bother with sports like NBA and NFL.
