When DirecTV guys come, they get you to watch the TV signal strength meter and tell them over the phone while they adjust on the roof.

My roofer had to remove it, and it was not a good signal when he replaced it. I called a local guy who does service. He had a signal meter that he used up there and dialed it in in seconds without even having to look at the TV.

Why in hell does every installer not have one of those signal meters? It's like the Comcast tech who did not even have a coax stripper. He used an old Barlow knife.

bullshite. DirecTV tell you the direction and angle online.

Download a free compass app and angle meter app. Use your phone to find the direction, pitch and angle. That's how I do it using a dish I set up for tailgates.
