I did it for two years when I was younger. Just rolled down the windows everywhere I went. It was an extended cab truck, so only two windows. Turned out to be a bent line from a wreck.

Would I do it at 34? frick no

I handle it by adding 30lbs of freon on the low side.

one thing to give you as an FYI on cars without a/c

disconnect the hoses from the heater core at the firewall and join them to each other. this bypasses the heater and reduces the inside temps of the car by a good 15 degrees in summer. that heater core stays hot like the radiator and much of that heat bleeds into the car even with the heater off and the ducts closed.

in winter you just reconnect them when heat is needed again, i had a few cars with no a/c and it makes a HUGE difference, trust me.
