So we have this area downstairs at the camp that is just unfinished concrete floors. For Fathers Day I would really like to do something to this area to make it smoother and easier to clean up. Any of y'all have a recommendation for some type of floor coating/stain. I was thinking of a smooth finish like a garage but am open to ideas. Area is probably 20x10.

Here's a pic of the area

Our outdoor patio we painted/stained the concrete and sealed it.

Looks something like this but not as nice since I did it myself.

A flooring company can polish and stain it.

What products did you use and how difficult was it to do yourself?

Thank you but this is something I would like to tackle on my own if possible.

I really don't have anything of value to offer to you regarding this issue but I hope it turns out well for you. I mean, we are all out there trying hard in life and I wish you well with this.

It's just concrete. It stains, holds dirt/dust, looks unfinished, etc.

My dad, at his old place, painted all of the concrete. A big patio out back, and all of the driveway. And we're talking a massive driveway. Probably 80-100 feet, two lanes, all the way back to the garage. And a double lane circular drive up front. He did it with one of those power painter machines with a roller attachment. Went with a tan color, and it looked nice and held up well even to a ton of cars on it. That might be an option for your area. Simple to do, and in a space that small you can roll it on with just a regular paint roller.

Just use a sealant, but it could make it more slippery when it's wet

I went to Home Depot and they had a great guy there. He talked me through the process and I watched a few youtube videos.
Mine did not come out EXACTLY how I wanted it but I am content with it. I bought everything from Home Depot as well, so any product I bought you can. My area was 25x14 back patio.
