To any of you who open doors for others, thank you. I have always appreciated it. I live in a small town where mothers still teach their sons to do this. It is greatly appreciated.

How sad is it that this is what it has come down to in this country. Don't want to offend a woman, a transgender , a black, etc.

Same here. I did have a woman a few years back tell me, I don't need to hold the door for her and that she was more than capable of doing it herself. I did it anyway.

Once walking in to a building in the quad, a girl and several of her friends were right behind me. I, of course, held the door open. She abruptly halted and with a snotty attitude said, "you don't have to hold the door for me." I replied, "just because you don't act like a lady doesn't mean I'm not not going to act like a gentleman".

One of her friends behind her said, "thanks! She is my friend but that bitch needed that!"
I have never seen the likes of shame that she was put Thru by her friends and the rest of the girls in her sorority house.
It went on for at least another 6 months.
