I bashed my head so bad, I thought I might need medical help. Swelling, tenderness, it was bad. I guess I survived.

In college, I woke up one morning still drunk and my alarm was going off. It was on my desk at the foot of my elevated bed. My dresser was beneath my bed!

I didn't want to get out of my nice comfy bed so I decided I would turn my alarm off from my bed.

In that inebriated state, it took me about 5 minutes to get turned around to be facing the alarm.

I reached for the alarm about 2 feet away and 3 feet below where I was. And then I lost my balance. I fell.

Now each drawer on my dresser was out a little bit further than the one above it so I fell, I hit each one.

I hit the ground with a BOOM. Being on the fourth floor, the floor shook. About 5 minutes later, some chicks on the 2nd and 3rd floor came to my room and asked if everything was ok because they almost caused the cops because they thought something terrible had happened.

Alas, being the shy lad I was at the time, I was unable to turn that into an orgy.

That's my story of falling out of bed.

Sigh, no. The cerebellum recognizes the supine and prone positions and maintains the positions.

I've thought of this too. Surprising there aren't thousands of deaths per year from bunk beds.

Matter is almost all empty space. So it's more amazing that people don't fall through their beds.
